Frequently Asked Questions

Getting Started

  • If you’re someone who looks like you’re holding it together on the outside but feels overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck on the inside, you’re in the right place. I specialize in helping high-achieving women who are tired of pushing through and want to understand themselves on a deeper level.

  • Our first session is a conversation. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what’s been weighing on you, and what you’re hoping will change. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out, I’ll help guide us.

  • My work is rooted in attachment-based and psychodynamic therapy, with elements of CBT. That means we don’t just focus on quick fixes, we explore the deeper patterns that are keeping you stuck, while also giving you practical tools to feel better in your day-to-day life.

  • Yes. I specialize in working with adults with ADHD especially those who also experience anxiety, burnout, or low self-esteem. Together, we focus on understanding your brain, reducing shame, and creating systems that actually work for you.

  • No. While we will talk, therapy with me is also about insight, patterns, and change. You’ll leave sessions with a better understanding of yourself and tangible ways to move forward.

  • All sessions are currently held virtually, allowing you to access therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

  • Standard sessions are 50 minutes.

  • Most clients start with weekly sessions. As things improve, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs.

  • I am a private-pay practice and do not accept insurance. This allows me to provide more personalized, high-quality care without the limitations of insurance requirements.

  • Sessions are $150 for 50 minutes. Extended time can be added if needed.

  • Yes. I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Policies

  • I require at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee.

  • Sessions will still end at the scheduled time. If you’re significantly late, we may need to reschedule.

Fit & Concerns

  • That’s more common than you think. Sometimes it’s about finding the right approach or the right fit. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, not judged, and actually supported in making meaningful changes.

  • Not at all. Many of my clients are functioning well on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected internally. Therapy is a space to address that before it becomes a crisis.

  • I do not complete forms, letters, or documentation for legal, medical, or administrative purposes (including FMLA, disability, or emotional support animal letters). My focus is on providing therapy and supporting your personal growth within sessions.

  • I do not provide documentation for legal or administrative purposes. If you are needing formal documentation, I recommend connecting with a provider who specializes in evaluations or documentation services.

  • I do not participate in legal proceedings, custody cases, or court-related documentation. My role is to provide a confidential and supportive therapeutic space.

  • If clinically appropriate, we may discuss diagnoses as part of your care. However, therapy is not solely focused on labeling, but rather on understanding patterns and improving your overall well-being.

  • You’re welcome to reach out for scheduling or brief updates. However, therapy work is best done during sessions. If you are in need of immediate support, please use a crisis resource.

  • If you are experiencing a mental health emergency or need immediate support, please call or text 988, or go to your nearest emergency room. I am not able to provide crisis support outside of scheduled sessions.

  • Therapy works best when there is consistency, openness, and a willingness to explore both thoughts and deeper emotional patterns. My role is to guide and support you, but meaningful change comes from the work we do together.

Final Question

  • That’s completely normal. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable. You don’t have to have the “right words” or know exactly what to say, just showing up is enough.

Still have Questions?

A woman with long blonde hair sitting on a cream-colored armchair, smiling while holding a silver HP laptop. There is a large green plant on her left and a candle on a small table to her right. Behind her, a sign on the wall reads, 'You are allowed to be both a work in progress and worthy of healing.' Sunlight filters through beige curtains.

I’d be happy to connect.
